Message Card Ideas – A Personal Touch

There are occasions when you will be ordering flowers and not be able to find the right words for your message card. This is especially the case with love or funerals. As a courtesy, I would search the web, print off several quotations, and had those near the order area for times of need. An indexed binder or folder would be ideal so that you can list several occasions. It was a useful reference when customers called in their order as well. It turned into a weekend project for me, but was much appreciated when someone was struggling with their message. This “extra” personal service is just the kind of thing your customers will remember.

Quotations can easily be found online. A simple search for quotations and/or poems on any search engine will lead you to many helpful sites. Brief meaningful quotes/messages are best because message cards only hold so much. One to three sentences is usually enough. If you really want to make a nice presentation, consider printing the quotations on a quality color specialty paper. If your paper is a heavier stock, it will hold up nicely without putting the pages in sleeves. I would create my pages on a word document and copy and paste any quotations that I wanted to use. Once I had filled a page, I tried to change each quotation to a different font as well as double spaced so that they stand on their own.

Card Book: Original Ideas for Hand-made Greeting Cards, Step-by-Step

Your friends will enjoy displaying these during the holidays. The Christmas Hologram Bauble, Holly and Berry Card or Golden Bell will brighten up a tree or table. With today’s multicultural society, Susan has included a series of cards designed to celebrate festivals of faith from the Muslim and Jewish calendars, as well as Easter and Kwanzaa.

Some people would be embarrassed to ask for help on their message card. You might just point out that you have a folder there with card ideas and then leave them to fill out their card.

With your experience, you can add messages of your own as well. Don’t forget to include humorous messages as well, not just the serious stuff. Message card suggestions are a special touch that your customers will appreciate.
