Christmas Songs, Christmas Music and Christmas Carols Create a Wonderful Ambiance at Christmastime

Christmas songs like “We wish you a Merry Christmas” as well as other lyrics make Christmas joyful

Christmas songs are a big part of the christmas spirit. The season would not be complete if we didn’t hear songs, music and christmas carols. There is something about the Christmas lyrics that lifts peoples’ spirits and makes us happy.

100 Classic Christmas Songs

This MP3 Download has so many fantastic Christmas tracks it’s hard to know where to begin. At first I couldn’t believe it was being offered for $5. I mean it isn’t a composition of second-rate musicians we’re talking about here. No, this album features Sinatra, Martin, Conniff, Cole, and many many more fantastic artists. While some of the tracks are easily found on other albums, I found many of them to be quite unique as well. This is a definite must-have for your Christmas music collection. Highly recommended! O Holy Night A Christmas Carols by Celine Dion

“O Holy Night” is a well-known Christmas carol song composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem “Minuit, chrétiens” by Placide Cappeau, an accomplished amateur.

The old tradition of Christmas carols being sung from door to door in your neighborhood is so much fun. It’s popularity fell off for a few years but as with most good ideas, they are back and people are out Christmas caroling. Service club members or youth groups can often be found singing songs or playing Christmas music at hospitals and seniors’ homes. It is guaranteed to lift the spirits of both the singers and and the sick and elderly.

The 99 Most Essential Christmas Masterpieces

I have a fairly extensive collection of classical music, and Christmas music as well. This compilation, featuring mostly little known groups, is charming. Yes, one can find better performances of many of these works, but that quest is only for the obsessive audiophile. The choral works are recorded clearly. One problem I’ve often had with recording by excellent groups such as the King’s College Choir is that they sound like they were recorded in a cathedral (and perhaps they were) so there is a lot of music and enunciation lost in the reverberation. There are a few instances where I wish the tempos were faster, but on the other hand this is a set to listen to while relaxing around the fire. A nice bonus – the music from the Nutcracker features lots of the lesser known (but still beautiful) tunes, not just the ones one normally hears in a suite. And the inclusion of the more serious classical pieces by Bach, Corelli, etc., is fitting and a great addition. Review by cossack

I’ll Be Home for Christmas – Rascal Flatts Official Music Video

Christmas songs bring back memories to everyone, every year. Whether you hum along to your favorite songs or music as it plays on the radio or CD player, or sing Christmas carols in a choir or group, you’re sure to enjoy a season full of music.

America’s 25 Favorite Christmas Songs

This is a good bargain because you have 25 songs for the price of one CD (which usually contains 10-14 songs). I bought this CD and it is very beautiful! Both young and old can enjoy because they sing traditional Christmas songs compared to modern songs today which is usually revised or changed in some way. Young, teens, middle-aged, etc. can enjoy too because it DOESN’T sound too much of boring church music or something really really old. No need to skip tracks! There is NOTHING boring on this CD and it never drags because some of the songs seem short but all are worth listening too – most of the songs you may be familiar with/grew up with. It’s great for the family and/or just for singing/listening along with. If you’re looking for traditional Xmas songs, this is GREAT! Voices are beautiful and music is fun!

Bing Crosby – It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

You can find free Christmas music on some websites to download as well as many lyrics here on this site so that you can sing along. As well there are many online merchants that specialize in Christmas songs and music.

The 50 Greatest Songs of Christmas

If you can’t stand another chorus of “Step Into Christmas” on the radio, then this collection is for you. Excellent instrumental selections featuring harp, guitar, and organ. Electronic arrangements are similar in style (but not quite as good as) Mannheim Steamroller. Pleasant choral arrangements. I have quite a lot of Christmas music, but I consider this a nice addition to my collection because of the different settings for familiar songs.

The genre attached to all the works in this collection is “jazz.” While some pieces could be considered jazz, I think it is a stretch to lump them all together like that. You may want to revise the genre if you like your pieces neatly sorted on your mp3 player. Review by Threeundertwo.

The Florin Street Band (New Christmas Song 2011)

This Victorian-themed Christmas song and video was produced without record company backing. After trying to gain record company support, British composer, Leigh Haggerwood, decided to make it happen himself so he gathered together his musician friends and wrote, produced and sung this Christmas songs.
